The 1,547-page spending bill, announced by Speaker Mike Johnson on Tuesday night, is a long list of billions of dollars in additional legislation that would essentially increase spending, with President-elect Donald Trump and Vice-elect J.D. Vance It sparked widespread scrutiny from Republican lawmakers, including the president. Omnibus bill.
glenn beck and Liz Wheeler review the three most egregious proposals outlined in this devastating “continuing resolution.”
There are certainly more than three problems with this CR, but there is one problem so egregious that it would be enough for Congress to vote against it, Liz says.
The so-called Global Engagement Center, an “auxiliary agency of the State Department” established to “combat foreign disinformation,” has one-year renewals, Liz explains. In other words, it is the body that sets the story.
The division was said to operate exclusively overseas, but suddenly “it was aimed at us,” Liz says. “This is a nexus of the censorship-industrial complex that is clearly being used against President Trump” and was behind “Hunter Biden's laptop article censored on Facebook and Twitter.”
“We need to say no to this bill. We need to call the House and say, 'No, no, that's not what we just voted for… and we're going to have to primary all the members who voted yes. 'We need to say, 'We're in favor of the closure,''' Glenn said, adding that he was in favor of the closure.
“This happens every year. Christmas comes around. Congress knows we're busy taking care of our families, enjoying the holidays, going to church, and we're trying to get rid of all this poison.” You're trying to cram it in. Chairman Johnson, you promised you wouldn't do that. You're not just betraying your voters, you're betraying the American people as a whole,” Liz charges.
A second toxic proposal, outlined in the CR, is for governments to declare a national emergency in the event of another COVID-19-like virus outbreak, and for vaccination to occur. It allows Americans to be forced to wear masks.
“All the tyranny of COVID-19 is exacerbating it,” Liz says.
But most worryingly, the bill's [the federal government] Additional authority to conduct gain-of-function research during a national emergency.
“I can't think of a word other than obscenity,” Glenn says with disgust.
