Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-Wis.) said during an appearance on the show that the controversial spending bill is “classic D.C.” and could lead to a government shutdown. Breitbart News Daily.
“It was typical Washington, D.C.,” a member of the House Freedom Caucus said when asked about the deal. The agreement has come under scrutiny from conservatives across the board, with many pointing out that the 1,547-page Continuing Resolution (CR) is full of pork.
“First of all, let's go back a few months to when we passed another continuing resolution for December 20th. I mean, this is predictable as Lucy and Charlie Brown, right? What's going to happen? We've got the Christmas deadline and everyone wants to go home and they're like, “Okay, let's do it.'' Yes, let's put some more decorations on the Christmas tree. And that's exactly what was happening,” he said, insisting, however, that Americans cannot continue business as usual because of the order he issued on Nov. 5.
“But what changed? November 5th, and all of a sudden Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy and the president are saying, 'Wait a minute.' This is not very good,'' he said, adding, “They helped solve the problem, which was great.''

He noted that closures could occur.
“A shutdown is a possibility, and I think all members should think about how they're going to send that message.” He noted that a government shutdown isn't as scary as it sounds. I asked while doing so.
“It's not shutting down the government. People will continue to receive their Social Security checks and everything else. Some federal employees and some programs have been discontinued, but the majority continue.” “And the entire government, whether it's local government or state government, it's all continuing,” he said, adding.
“So I think, yeah, it could happen,” he added.
