A former substitute teacher in Oklahoma was found guilty Wednesday of sexually abusing a 15-year-old student. According to reports, Emma Delaney Hancock, 28, is also the wife of the Wellston police chief and the daughter of the mayor of Wellston.
Hancock was found guilty of two counts of solicitation of sexual activity or communication with a minor through the use of technology. According to reports, Hancock was sentenced to four years in prison. KFOR-TV.

As Blaze News reported last year, Hancock was a substitute teacher at Wellston High School. However, she was arrested in April 2023 on suspicion of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student.
According to investigators, the former substitute teacher began communicating with the student in October 2022. Hancock allegedly obtained the student's phone number through a school assignment.
“Text messages started to evolve into a more personal type and became sexual in nature,” said Gerald Davidson, interim public information officer for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

According to court documents, Hancock responded to the boy, saying, “Are you going to send me half-naked pictures now?”
The boy reportedly responded, “I don't know, right?”
She allegedly responded, “Are you trying to make me lose my job?”
Court documents say Hancock and the minor exchanged nude photos and videos of sex acts. The affidavit reportedly states that the boy told authorities that they “met privately at school to get along.”
The teacher is accused of kissing an underage student twice with the open mouth in a high school classroom closet. According to the affidavit, Hancock inappropriately touched the boy during the second kiss.

KFOR-TV In October, it was reported that “Hancock is the wife of Wellston Police Chief Alfred Hancock and the daughter of Wellston Mayor Paul Witna, and both testified on her behalf.”
Hancock reportedly has two children with her husband, a police chief.
