We’re ‘Concerned’ About ‘Non-Elected, Non-Citizen Immigrant’ Running Presidency

On Friday's broadcast of MSNBC's “The Last Word,” Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wis.) discussed Elon Musk's involvement in last week's government funding bill debate, saying: said. “I'm still very concerned that this immigrant, who is essentially a non-citizen, is holding the office of president.”

Host Ali Belushi said: “What we've seen in the last 48 hours is much bigger than just dealing with managing the economy, we're now dealing with managing governance. “But this is something that the Republican Party, the elected Republican Party, has already had problems with in the past.” Years later, and now we're with Elon Musk. ”

Moore replied: “You never know, Ari, that’s a great question to start this corner with. I am concerned and I am still very concerned. He came in, and one of the first things he did, as our guest pointed out earlier, was to remove provisions that restricted a lot of the activities with the Chinese around the high-tech industry. Is it in the interest of Elon Musk?”

Velshi then pointed out that Musk is a naturalized U.S. citizen.
