The winner of the fifth-largest jackpot in Mega Millions history has come forward to claim his prize nine months after his lucky number was drawn.
The unidentified winner, who remains anonymous, submitted a golden ticket worth $1.128 billion to begin the recovery process. NBC New York reported.
The Monmouth County ShopRite in Neptune, N.J., sold the big winners matching Lotto numbers 7, 11, 22, 29 and 38, as well as Gold Mega Ball number 4 and Multiplier number 2, the store said.

The lottery was held on March 26th.
State law allows winners to remain anonymous for as long as they wish, but players must prove their identity to lottery officials.
