Alan Hamel, 88, has been dating his beloved wife Suzanne Summers since his death over a year ago.
The “Three's Company'' star, who died the day before his 77th birthday, encouraged her husband of 46 years to find love again, he says.
A source in the entertainment industry told Page Six: “Alan was spotted on a date night with not one, but two attractive women.” capo santa monica” recently.
When we got in touch, the gentlemanly producer confided to Page Six: When Suzanne knew the end was near, she told him to live his life and not “wander around.” ”
Hamel unveiled his wife's headstone on October 15th at Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City, California, to commemorate the first anniversary of her death.
In addition to following Summers' wishes so far, he is celebrating this season with family and friends. “Suzanne loved having the biggest Christmas tree possible,” he recalled. “While I stabilized the stool, she did all the decorations and was always ready to fall into my arms.”
He also shared some holiday hacks!
“I took 40 to 50 extra empty boxes, beautifully gift-wrapped them, placed them under the tree, and contributed to the decorations. I learned this in nursery school when I was one of the Three Wise Men! After the play, I I released three presents under the Christmas tree at the nursery, but when I got home and opened them, they were all empty. Lesson learned.”
If it were Summers, today would be “opening presents, [then] I met up with a friend for breakfast, and then we all went hiking. . . We loved hiking. We go almost every morning, and when we get to the top of the mountain and catch our breath, we exchange our feelings, kiss, [share] It was a very long hug. ”
Hamel said that to release oxytocin, “a kiss has to last at least six seconds, and a hug has to last at least 20 seconds.”
“For the first few years of our relationship, we fought like crazy dogs,” Hamel previously told Page Six of Summers. “But we always returned to our passionate love for each other… After one of our fights, Suzanne said to me, 'No matter how bad things get, never break up.' And we never did.”
