‘Sopranos’ star Edie Falco blasts 76ers’ Joel Embiid: ‘He’s mean’

Edie Falco clearly holds a grudge.

The “Sopranos” star is currently co-starring Joel Embiid.

Falco, who played Carmella on the iconic HBO series, is an avid Knicks fan, joining Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart. In the latest episode of the podcast “The Roommate Show.''.

She criticized Embiid for elbowing Brunson when the Knicks and 76ers faced off in the first round of the playoffs last year.

“Joel Embiid, he's mean,” Falco said. “I was going to go after him, like he elbowed you in the game last year. I mean, it was that bad. I think I've seen you guys play since then, but you guys. Everyone is cool with each other. I'm like, “Don't you hold a grudge against each other?''

In Game 5 of that series, which the Knicks won for the first time in six games, Embiid lunged and nailed Brunson in the head as Brunson was near the rim.

But despite Brunson's ire at the time, Embiid got away with it.

“For the most part, I don't hold a grudge,” Brunson explained. “Yeah, I have a grudge, who am I to lie to? But I knew Joel before I got into the league. I've met him a few times. There's just respect. I think there's a certain line where there's respect and everyone competes and it's OK, but I don't think it's cool.”

Falco, a Brooklyn native, said he became a Knicks fan during his time on “The Sopranos” and has followed the team ever since.

She revealed that she was particularly distressed by the blockbuster Karl-Anthony Towns trade that sent Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo to the Timberwolves this offseason.

“People might think you're better at trade management than I am,” Falco said. “I don't know who's responsible for making these decisions, but they need to talk to the fans. This last game left a lot of us really torn apart. I… I'll be back, the new guys are great.

“You're a Nick fan, but what does it mean to be a Nick fan? Is it just that they're playing in the yard? Guys. It's the guys you get attached to. You can read it in the way they play together, the interactions, the inside jokes, and everything you guys have. Get rid of some of those guys. I was like, 'Are you kidding me?' You can't do that.

“It's not healthy, dude. I have kids, I have a life, everything, and it's completely fallen apart.”
