NFL ‘Thursday Night Football’ player props, picks

Jackson Smith-Njiba has quietly become a star in Seattle.

The second-year receiver ranks in the top 10 in catches (93), air yards (1,089) and targets (126) this season, but that's after a somewhat slow start heading into the fall.

He's been completely out of whack over the past two months, recording at least 70 receiving yards in each of his last seven games, one yard shy of his eight-game streak.

The Ohio State product will replace some of the production from fellow pass catcher DK Metcalf, who has just four catches and 66 receiving yards over the past five games while dealing with a lingering shoulder issue.

Smith-Njiba will play Thursday night in Chicago against a Bears secondary that is checking out.

Chicago's offense has been tearing the air apart lately, averaging 277.3 passing yards per game over the past six contests.

Just last week, Jared Goff and the Lions completed 329 yards passing.

Three weeks ago, the injury-riddled 49ers had 321 passing yards.

According to oddsmakers, Smith-Njiba has just 69.5 receiving yards over/under, which, as mentioned above, is a number he's been flying at lately.

Thursday could be an offensive explosion for the road team, as the Seahawks have a chance to make the playoffs and the Bears have no room to play.

Play: Jackson Smith-Njiba gains at least 69.5 receiving yards (-115, DraftKings Sportsbook)
