Three people were shot to death and another was stabbed at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport's Terminal 4 on Christmas Day.
newsweek reported The incident occurred Wednesday around 9:45 p.m.
CNN noticed It said it happened at a restaurant “outside the security perimeter.”
“I believe this was an escalation of a family dispute,” Phoenix Police Sergeant Myra Leeson said of the incident. The shooting victims include one woman who is in critical condition and two men who are both in stable condition. The stabbing victim is also stable.
At this time, police do not know whether the group was planning to travel together or simply met at a restaurant.
Leeson said, “This is scary… It's Christmas night and everyone is trying to go home.”
The TSA checkpoint in Terminal 4 was temporarily closed but has since reopened.
