Giants’ Malik Nabers, Tyrone Tracy questionable for final home game

If the Giants are to avoid a winless season at home, they may need to do so briefly.

Top receiver Malik Nabors, top running back Tyron Tracy Jr., top tackler Micah McFadden and starting center John Michael Schmitz all did not practice Thursday.

Greg van Roten (knee) practiced limitedly at center in Schmitz's place.

Coach Brian Daboll wasn't ready to exclude them from the game against the Colts at MetLife Stadium, but obviously all of them could be out.

Nabors described his situation as a mid-game decision.

He was hopeful of practicing on Friday.

“Let's see how they're doing tomorrow,” Daboll said.

Defensive backs Raheem Laine (knee), Greg Stroman (shoulder/shin) and Dee Williams (toe) also remained out.

Quarterback Drew Lock (right shoulder), offensive lineman Jermaine Elemunor (wrist) and defensive lineman Corey Darden (shoulder) were limited Thursday.

Rookie offensive lineman Jake Kubas stood out in his first NFL start against the Falcons.

He allowed just one quarterback pressure at left guard and was the Giants' top-grade offensive lineman.

“Jake was a bright spot for me,” offensive coordinator Mike Kafka said. “I think he made some physical plays when you see young guys coming in. Sure, he can be better and there were probably some plays he missed here and there. But overall I thought this was a big step forward for him.”

Kubas went undrafted out of North Dakota State.

The Giants acquired him in May.

The Colts may be without starting QB Anthony Richardson (back/foot) on Sunday.

He did not practice Thursday, but ESPN reported that the Colts are optimistic about his play.

If Richardson is unavailable, Joe Flacco will likely start under center.

The Colts have won two of their last three games and are 7-8, clinching a playoff spot, but they need to win their remaining two games to get some help.
