It's unclear whether Razorbacks redshirt junior lineman Fernando Carmona intentionally stepped on C.J. Baskerville's ankle, but the Red Raiders cornerback certainly thinks so.
“There's no denying that Arkansas played a great game last night. I'm not going to take that away from them,” Baskerville wrote. Post to X It featured two sides of the incident. “But it's just filthy when #55 Fernando Carmona blatantly steps on my ankle and pushes me down on purpose. He keeps saying, 'I've got your b**** a***.' . Do your best. ”
The incident occurred in the fourth quarter of Friday's Liberty Bowl game. The Razorbacks carried the ball down the middle of the field, and Baskerville had just stepped up to make a stop.
He was still lying on the ground when Carmona's foot hit his ankle.
The post that appears to be Baskerville's stomp has been viewed by about 4 million X users as of Sunday.

Many users followed Baskerville, with one user writing: It's very soft. Never in my life have I seen a major conference football player run to social media after practice and post something like this. ”
The altercation appears to have garnered almost as much attention as the Liberty Bowl itself, which the University of Arkansas won 39-26.
The Razorbacks were led by junior quarterback Taylen Green, who had two touchdowns and 341 yards on just 11 completions. Green added another touchdown and gained 81 more yards on the ground.
Arkansas finished with 559 yards to Texas Tech's 497 yards.
With Friday's win, the Razorbacks improved to 29-8 overall against the Red Raiders.
