A 16-year-old boy was seriously injured in Brooklyn Sunday evening when he was stabbed five times in the chest and abdomen, possibly with a screwdriver, police and law enforcement officials said.
Police said the incident occurred around 6:50 p.m. at the intersection of Carroll and Rochester streets in Crown Heights, where the assailant assaulted the teenage victim.
Police said the boy was rushed to Kings County Hospital in serious but stable condition.
Officials said a screwdriver was recovered near the crime scene, and police are investigating whether a household tool was used in the stabbing.
Officials say the victim suffered five stab wounds.
No arrests have been made, but police said they were searching for a teenage suspect.
