Jon Gruden coaching buzz intensifies as teams do ‘extensive homework’

It looks like Rex Ryan isn't the only wild card candidate who could join this year's NFL coaching merry-go-round.

Gruden was named the NFL commissioner in November 2021, accusing the NFL of “selectively leaking” past profane messages sent to former Washington President Bruce Allen amid an investigation into the team's workplace culture during the Daniel Snyder era. filed a lawsuit against Roger Goodell and the league.

Despite the fallout from his departure from the Raiders, Gruden isn't far from the league.
