Illness can strike at any time, and sometimes you’re too unwell to travel to the clinic. Plus, who wants the added stress of traveling to appointments and waiting in crowded rooms when you’re already feeling sick?

Ben and David, two Chassidic Jews from Borough Park, had been noticing a growing issue for years. About a year ago, they decided to take action and founded Medease.

“There were too many mothers schlepping their babies and little kids along just to get a simple flu test for one of the kids,” says Ben. “We knew we needed to create an alternative.”

They quickly formed a team and began delivering essential, urgent care directly to the patients’ doorsteps. With their highly trained team of medical assistants, Medease now offers services such as strep cultures, RSV testing, ear exams, flu and COVID testing, urine cultures, labwork, prescription refills, and much more.

After servicing thousands of satisfied patients in Borough Park, Flatbush, Williamsburg, and parts of upstate NY, Medease has now decided to open a new branch in Crown Heights.

“No clinics, no travel, no stress,” says Medease founder David. “Our goal is for you to get professional diagnosis and treatment – on your terms, in the comfort of your home.”

Mashee Begun PA-C, is directing the Crown Heights branch, to service customers in the Crown Heights, East Flatbush, and Remsen Village neighborhoods.

“I had the privilege of joining Medease during its early stages,” says PA Begun. “When I first met Ben and David, this service was just a concept. It is amazing to see how much it developed since then. With so many patients being serviced and helped. I am thrilled to introduce and direct this exceptional service to Crown Heights, ensuring its success, and look forward to helping the community stay safe, healthy and well cared for.”

“There is hardly a day that we don’t get feedback about how critical our services are,” PA Begun relates. “Just last week, on our opening day in Crown Heights, a mother with a special needs child used our services. Our team quickly identified a dangerous virus he was developing and was able to call Hatzalah in time. Had they needed to go to a clinic, it could have cost precious time.”

Medease is supported by a highly skilled team of doctors with years of experience in primary healthcare. After discussing your health concerns with a health care provider over the phone, a doctor will promptly order any necessary test or exam, and the medical assistant will visit the home of the patient. The doctor will also follow up to share lab results and prescribe medications as needed.

Medease also accepts most major insurances and bills them directly, ensuring that nearly all services are provided at no cost to you.

“Skip the long commutes and crowded waiting rooms while you focus on your recovery,” says David. “Healthcare should not be a hassle!”
