President Joe Biden acknowledged in a statement Wednesday that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the New Year's Day death in New Orleans as an act of terrorism.

A gunman crashed his car into a busy Bourbon Street early Wednesday morning, killing at least 10 people and injuring at least 35 others.
His statement came shortly after President-elect Donald Trump issued a statement calling the attack an act of “pure evil” and suggesting the attackers came from outside the country.
President Trump said in a statement posted to Truth Social:
