The mosque where New Orleans terrorist Shamsud Din Jabar allegedly attended urged its members to refer FBI inquiries to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Islamic Society of Greater Houston.
The early morning New Year's Day terrorist attack on Bourbon Street left more than a dozen people dead and dozens injured. In the attack, Jabbar drove a truck displaying an ISIS flag into a crowd of people enjoying a party.

In an Instagram Story posted after the attacker's identity was announced, Masjid Bilal condemned the attack as a “terrible act”. “If you are approached by the FBI and need a response, please contact CAIR and ISGH,” he added, referring to the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Islamic Society of Greater Houston.
CAIR is an extremist organization that has provided support to terrorist families in the past.
