Ford recalls nearly 400,000 trucks, SUVs and other vehicles

According to a Dec. 20 filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Ford Motor Co. has issued a series of recalls affecting approximately 400,000 vehicles.

The affected vehicles are:

Trucks and other heavy vehicles:

Ford is reducing several vehicles due to concerns that biodiesel deposits can form on roller components of the pump's drivetrain, leading to high-pressure fuel pump failure and increasing the risk of a crash. A total of 295,449 diesel pickup trucks and commercial vehicles were recalled.

Models affected by the recall include certain 2020-2022 model year F-Super Duty F250, F350, F450, F550 and F600 and 2021-2022 model year F-650 and F750 vehicles.

The company is recalling more than 20,000 hybrid Ford Escapes from model years 2020 to 2024 and 4,000 Lincoln Corsairs from 2021 to 2024 due to the risk of short circuits in high-voltage batteries. There is.

Separately, Ford announced the Ford Flex due to concerns that images from vehicles' analog rear-view cameras could become distorted or blank, impacting driver visibility and increasing the risk of accidents. 30,317 units were recalled.

Ford also announced that approximately 400,000 2024-2025 Lincoln Nautilus SUVs will be installed due to concerns that the automatic window reversing system may not respond properly, putting someone at risk of being trapped before the window retracts. 8,000 units are being recalled.

More than 12,000 2019 Ford Fiestas and 802 Lincoln MKTs were recalled based on a similar notice regarding rearview cameras.
