JJ Redick dismisses Charles Barkley’s critical comments
It looks like JJ Redick has more things to worry about than his feud with Charles Barkley.
When asked Friday about Barkley's comments about the Lakers' midseason struggles, Redick responded: I chose not to get involved.
“I literally don't care,” the Lakers' head coach said before the game against the Hawks. “I have other things on my mind, but I don't care.”

Barkley lashed out at Redick on Thursday's episode of “Inside the NBA,” calling him a “dead man walking” in his first year as the Lakers' head coach.
“He was saying things like, 'It's our fault people don't see this shitty product we make.' It’s the same,” Barclay said. “JJ, you're coming to get the king, you better not let him go because he can get you, brother.”
The Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer went on to say that Redick has not come close to other recent Lakers coaches, citing the success of previous bench bosses Frank Vogel and Darvin Ham.
“He came in there thinking, 'This is going to work,'” Barkley said. “Well, you can! Put some makeup on that pig! Lakers stink, dude. Come on, dude.”
Barkley's snide remarks stemmed from comments Redick made last month regarding the decline in NBA television ratings.

The Lakers' head coach hinted at basketball analysts as one of the potential reasons for the ratings decline.
“If I'm just a fan and every time I turn on the TV you tell me this product sucks, I'm not going to watch it,” Reddick said. “And that's what's really happened over the last 10 to 15 years. I don't know why. It's not funny to me.”
According to The Athletic, Redick did not name anyone in particular, but he did note that “national partners” are contributing to the negativity surrounding the NBA.
