Republican Rep. Virginia Foxx (RN.C.) drew attention after falling at a rally. united states capitol FOX News learned Friday.
Foxx, who chairs the House Education Committee, reportedly fell on the steps on the Republican side of the Capitol shortly after the House voted to re-elect House Speaker Mike Johnson.
The lawmaker, 81, was bleeding after the incident and was being treated by medical personnel at the Capitol.

The deputy appeared to have a nosebleed, but it was unclear whether he was seriously injured.
Fox was seen walking after the incident and was reportedly being escorted to a medical room at the Capitol by medical personnel.

The lawmaker made a humorous post on social media, asserting that he was OK after the fall.

“Thank you everyone for your prayers. I'm fine, just a little bruised,” Fox wrote in X's post. “I'm a mountain woman, and we're tougher than a $2 steak.”
