On Friday's broadcast of Fox News Channel's “The Ingraham Angle,” Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill (R) said she has confidence in many of the FBI agents on the scene, saying, “They did a really good job.” They're smart, hard-working people. But they take orders from above. And I think that's a problem.'' And the first declaration that the New Orleans attack was not terrorism. She said she believes the FBI played a political role.
“I think there is a gap in the leadership of the FBI in Washington, and that impacts everything that happens with the FBI,” Murrill said. So I trust a lot of the agents that are in the field. they did a really good job. They are smart and hardworking people. But they receive orders from above. And I think that's a problem. ”
She added:[T]He has been briefed by the FBI. I spoke again with the FBI agents in charge in New Orleans regarding some of the questions I had regarding the ice chest that was found with an IED inside, and they told me what information they had. They offered it very openly. But again, I think this is questionable from the beginning. It didn't take long for people to call this a terrorist incident. Under state law, there was no question that it constituted an act of terrorism. I don't think the definition under federal law is that different. So I don't know why there was any doubt about that in the first place. and i think there is [are] Politics is having an impact at the highest levels, which is why we need to move forward with a new transition to ensure good leadership. ”
