Mike Zimmer is starting the new year with a big milestone.
The Cowboys defensive coordinator is engaged to his model girlfriend Katarina Miketin, and he shared the exciting news in an Instagram post on Thursday.
“Five years ago they said they needed to meet us… God knew what He was doing. My best friend, I thank God for you… So, Of course…I said yes!'' Miketin exclaimed in the caption of the post.
The social media slideshow chronicles several moments of the couple's relationship, ending with Miketin showing off a dazzling diamond ring.
Zimmer and Miketin confirmed their relationship in 2021 after months of speculation.
The coach was previously married. His wife, Vicky, passed away In 2009, he died unexpectedly of natural causes at the age of 50.

Zimmer was selected as the team's new defensive coordinator after Dan Quinn left Dallas to become the Commanders' head coach after the 2023 season.
He previously held that role in Dallas from 2000 to 2006.
The Cowboys will end a disappointing season on Sunday when they host Quinn and the Commanders in their final regular season game.
Dallas has been plagued by injuries to key players, including star quarterback Dak Prescott, who was out for the season in November.
