Micah Parsons recruiting Tyreek Hill to Cowboys amid Dolphins discord

Micah Parsons is spending his free time this offseason recruiting.

The Cowboys' star pass rusher sent a pitch to Tyreek Hill to join Dallas, shortly after his eye-popping comments Sunday opened the door for the Miami wideout to leave the Dolphins.

“@cheetah we can be the fastest duo in the league!!!” 🦁🐆 We also have no state income tax!” Parsons tweeted Monday afternoon..

The Cowboys need to revamp their roster this offseason after going a disappointing 7-10 just one season after winning the NFC East and earning the No. 2 seed in the NFC. Dew.

Coach Mike McCarthy may be leaving at the end of his contract, and it's no secret that owner Jerry Jones loves new, shiny toys.

The 30-year-old Hill fits that description and was certainly on the cusp of leaving Miami after the Dolphins ended a disappointing 8-9 season with a 32-20 road loss to the Jets on Sunday.

The superstar receiver brazenly talked about the possibility of playing elsewhere after his worst season in Miami in his three years with the team.

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel also hinted that Hill would pull out of Sunday's game, which is clearly a bad look for a team leader in a must-win game.

“This is the first time I've missed the playoffs, so I had to do what was best for me and my family,” Hill said. “Whether it's here or wherever, I'm going to open that door myself. I'm opening the door. I'm out, brother. It was great to play here, but at the end of the day, I have to do what's best for my career because I'm too much of a competitor to just be there.”

If the Dolphins were to move on from Hill, an eight-time Pro Bowler who has two years remaining on his contract, there would certainly be a list of suitors for Hill.

Hill, who turns 31 in March, racked up 959 receiving yards and six touchdowns this season while battling injuries after eclipsing 1,700 yards in each of his first two seasons with Miami.

Unfortunately for the 25-year-old Parsons, the Cowboys Cap space is limited in 2025. And, and this is a big problem in some ways, they haven't given him a favorable contract extension yet.

Barring any unforeseen contract shake-ups on Hill's part, the Cowboys are paying top-market salaries to Hill's two receivers and star wideout CeeDee Lamb, and the potential for quarterbacks Dak Prescott and Parsons. Due to this, it may be difficult to build a competitive team. Amount of insurance premium paid.

And while Mr. Parsons is credited with promoting Mr. Hill in Texas, which has no income tax, he already benefits from that tax break as a Florida resident.
