Tarek and Heather El Moussa do not allow their past to negatively impact their future, especially when it comes to fostering healthy relationships within their family.

The real estate experts are serious about their friendship with Tarek's ex-wife, Christina Hall, and it's not only benefiting their personal household, but also the new HGTV series, “The Flip-Off.”

While Hall was dealing behind the scenes with the breakup of her third marriage to Joshua Hall, she found allies in ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and Heather.

Hall filed for divorce from Joshua in July and has since sought support from Joshua in a unique way.

Their volatile relationship was seen firsthand in previews for the upcoming show. “This is a competition. We have to give it our all. Whatever it takes to win, I'll do it. Hall rules!” Josh told Christina while driving. “You should say it with me, repeat it, or say something that shows you're with me.”

While their marriage plays out in front of the cameras, Christina has found a friend in Heather, and the two regularly poke fun at each other (and Tarek) on social media. When Heather and Tarek took to Instagram to announce the air date of the HGTV show and were asked if they would ever do “The Flip Off” again, Christina quickly jumped into the comments and revealed that her soon-to-be ex-husband criticized. .

Christina's estranged husband originally appeared on the show, but has not appeared since the former couple announced their divorce in the summer, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

The “Christina on the Shore” star finalized her divorce from second husband Ant Anstead in June 2021. The former couple shares custody of their 5-year-old son, Hudson.

While filming their new reality show, Tarek and Heather gave insight into what it's like to work with their ex-wife in a video shared on social media. Tarek tried to contact Christina by phone, but her phone went unanswered. Heather realized, “She blocked you,” and laughed.

At DIRECTV's Christmas at Kathy Hilton holiday event, Heather exclusively told Fox News Digital that her digital banter with Christina was “all fun and we're just having a good time.” spoke.

The former couple are currently co-parenting their two children and will work together on “The Flip Off,” but they were in very different positions several years before their marriage ended in 2018. Ta.

“We were mad at each other,” Tarek said. Eh! news. “I was angry that she left me. She was angry that I acted the way I did. But we still have to work together. It took a huge toll on our family.”

“You can't co-parent if you're angry or unhappy with your ex-spouse,” Tarek added. “If you don't forgive, you'll get stuck and never move forward. We have to do this for our children.”

In his 2024 memoir, he detailed his struggles with anxiety and depression, and the subsequent end of his marriage. “Turn your life around: How to find opportunity in hardship – in real estate, business, and life.”

In addition to mental health issues, Tarek battled steroid addiction and at one point resorted to hormone injections recommended by “anti-aging experts.”

“I knew something was wrong,” El Moussa admitted to Fox News Digital last year. “I was thinking of seeing another doctor and starting to find out what was going on with me. But unfortunately, I had done too much damage. It was a little too late. Ta.”

After hitting rock bottom, Tarek accepted that “life isn't fair” and started working on a new life.
