Appearing on MSNBC's “The Beat” on Wednesday, Geraldo Rivera said he wanted to punch President-elect Donald Trump's immigration policy adviser Stephen Miller.
Host Ari Melber said, “The Trump transition team wants to conduct what it calls a showcase immigration raid in the Washington, D.C., area in the first few days, which will “target early-stage undocumented immigrants.'' The citation would be “a large-scale raid on the United States.” ”
he asked: “Now that I've covered this, I'd like to know what you think?” Stephen Miller was also on the show. There is a debate about immigration in this country, and I think we can stipulate that illegal immigration is on the rise. And then there's the question of how to deal with it in a holistic way that is both humane and protects national security. ”
Rivera said: “You know, I'm an old man now. I've been a boxer all my life. I gave up because I'm weak. But I'll come back to punch Stephen Miller in the nose, because he I think that's the scariest thing in terms of policy. I don't know the guy personally. In terms of his policies, he's the definition of that. He doesn't want to settle the issue. They want to scapegoat certain people who will resonate with them.”
