The former Met is back in the National League East.
Amed Rosario, who started his career with the Mets and played four years with Queen's, and the Washington Nationals agreed to a one-year, $2 million contract on Wednesday.
Last season, Rosario, 29, played in 103 games with the Tampa Bay Rays, Cincinnati Reds and Los Angeles Dodgers.
While playing with these three teams, Rosario batted .280 with three home runs, 32 RBIs, 18 doubles, three triples, 13 stolen bases, and 29 runs scored.
Washington selected right-hander Joan Adon in a corresponding roster move.
Rosario, who is entering his ninth season in the majors, is the newest addition to the Nationals after acquiring first baseman Nathaniel Rowe in a trade with the Texas Rangers and signing Josh Bell as a free agent.
Rosario, a native of Centro Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, is a hitter with a career batting average of .273, 36 home runs, and 339 RBIs.
The journeyman played for the Mets, Cleveland Guardians, Dodgers, Rays and Reds.
Rosario played in all three positions: second base, third base, and outfield, while playing the majority of the games as shortstop.
