Wife of an army sergeant major. Matthew Reiblesberger, the Green Beret involved in the New Year's Day Las Vegas Tesla Cybertruck bombing, broke his silence Sunday night in a statement released by the fellow Green Beret veteran.
In a statement, she fired back at misinformation and lies spread about her and Riversberger, including that they had marital problems and kicked Riversberger out of her home before Christmas.
She specifically condemned rumors spread by Army public affairs officer Lt. Col. Dave Butler that her newborn daughter's DNA did not match Libersberger's DNA.
Matt Tardio (host) let's tell the truth podcastposted a statement from Libersberger's wife, Jennifer Davis, on his blog. X account.
It said:
My name is Jennifer Davis, and I am the widow of Matthew Libersberger. I have remained silent until now because, like you, I was in a state of pure shock and denial. The only reason I decided to break my silence is because I know I owe it to my daughter.
In a world of endless internet opinions, daughters need posts somewhere that tell the truth about their fathers.
The truth is, we were everything in Matt's world. He loved being a father. This year we spent our first Christmas as parents with our beautiful daughter. The way he loved his daughter was beautiful beyond words. It's just one of his infinite qualities that he was attentive and took care of my every need before I even asked or thought, and that he already had many in his absence. My tears were born. He truly and deeply loved both of us. He was selfless and thoughtful. He protected us and protected us to the end.
My husband's military career and service are exemplary, exemplary, and speak for themselves. He was a dedicated soldier and loved his family and brotherhood with all his heart. Matt was a hero among men who dedicated his life to serving our country. And he will be remembered as such.
I would like to address clearly and directly some misinformation that has recently been published regarding my husband and family. First and foremost, Matt and I were in love and committed to our marriage. We had so many dreamy plans and a future, but now it will just be a memory for my daughter to seal away. Not only was Matt excited about our future, but he was also excited about the future of his career and the new job he was starting. And in no uncertain terms, did we have any plans or intentions to break up or live apart? Additionally, our daughter's father has never been an issue, and certainly not in our marriage. I don't even like revealing that fact because I personally find that lie defamatory and offensive. Just to be clear for my daughter, the DNA was extracted and confirmed to be a match.
Losing my husband was the most traumatic event in my life. Knowing that my daughter's life will never be the same and that she will never truly know her father is more than I can handle. As you can imagine, this adds complexity and publicity to a level of pain and stress that no one can prepare for.
I sit here today still in a state of unknown and wishing with all my heart to go back to our first and last wonderful Christmas together. Days have passed and I still don't have the answers that many of you are looking for. I'm also desperately looking for one.
As my daughter and I mourn our hero, we ask that you respect our privacy. thank you.

Podcaster Sean Ryan said on his show that Butler told him in a private conversation that Libersberger's child's DNA did not match his own. Ryan's attorney Tim Parlatore later detailed his conversation with Butler, calling it “one of the strangest conversations I've ever had with a publicist.”
Parlatore said of the DNA rumors:
That's exactly what it was, and it was a very strange kind of statement to me. Because he tells me about great soldiers. [Livelsberger] I said, “Look, so what do you think this is?” And he said, “I don't want to speculate, but maybe there was some trouble in his family.'' And you know. He then told the story that when the FBI went to identify the body to get a DNA match, they went to see his closest next of kin, who was his young child. He gave it to me. And the DNA didn't match. So, they speculated that maybe he had a fight with his wife and found out she was cheating on him.
Parlatore added: So, frankly, there are two problems I have with this story. One, this guy is an active duty Army Special Forces soldier. They have his DNA on file to make sure you don't have to go to next of kin. And second, would any sane mother submit her illegitimate child to a DNA test if the child was truly not hers? ”
Tardio posted a video earlier Sunday of Ryan and Parlatore discussing Butler as the source of the rumors.
Tardio said in a statement to Breitbart News:
After speaking with Jennifer, I was deeply troubled by the allegations that suggested harmful misinformation targeting the family of a soldier may have originated from the Office of the U.S. Army Chief of Staff. This situation raises serious concerns regarding transparency and accountability.
The US military has an obligation to provide a clear explanation to the American people. I hope that the current administration will promptly deal with this issue with the seriousness it deserves. If this issue remains unresolved, I would urge future leaders to prioritize uncovering the truth and ensuring justice.

Mysteries have surrounded what happened to Libersberger since January 1, 2025, when his Tesla Cybertruck crashed into the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas and burst into flames. Libersberger was a passenger in the car, and Las Vegas and federal authorities say he shot himself in the mouth and then set the truck on fire using fuel, fireworks and bird shot he had stored in the car's trunk.
Samuel Shumate, an Army veteran, shared a manifesto on Ryan's show that was sent to him through Libersberger's email before the incident. In his manifesto, he discussed drone technology allegedly used by the United States and China, as well as alleged U.S. war crimes in Afghanistan that he witnessed.
Authorities have also released additional manifests allegedly on Mr. Reiblesberger's cell phone, and Mr. Reiblesberger's ex-girlfriend, Alicia Allitt, said in an interview that Mr. Reiblesberger was mentally ill. It has been suggested that he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder and a traumatic brain injury from a previous deployment.
But many questions remain unanswered, including how Libersberger was able to shoot himself and then ignite the truck and whether others were involved. The wife's statement disputing the authorities' announcement will raise further questions.
