An 18-year-old boy has died after a skiing accident at a luxury ski resort in Tahoe, Nevada.

The unidentified boy was skiing at Mount Rose Ski Tahoe, a scenic resort in the Reno area that reaches an elevation of 8,260 feet, the Washoe County Sheriff's Office confirmed to FOX News Digital. He died after colliding with a tree.

According to authorities, the fatal accident occurred on Friday, January 10th, on Ramsey's Run Trail, a median road.

Mount Rose Ski Patrol responded to the scene and found the man unresponsive.

Police said a CareFlight team was called, but the man died at the scene. The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

“The Mount Rose Ski Tahoe management and staff extend our deepest sympathies and support to the skier's family and friends,” Mount Rose Ski Tahoe management said in a statement to Fox News Digital. mentioned in. “The resort would like to thank the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District and Care Flight for their assistance in response efforts.”

The fatal crash comes after similar ski-related accidents in Massachusetts and New Hampshire recently killed a 19-year-old and a 12-year-old boy.

On January 6, 19-year-old Alex Kemp from New Jersey died while skiing at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in Hancock, Massachusetts.

Authorities previously confirmed to Fox News Digital that Kemp appeared to have fallen over an embankment and suffered a “significant head injury.”
