Malik Nabers revels in ex-LSU teammate Jayden Daniels’ playoff

Like in the old days.

Giants wide receiver Malik Nabors and Jaguars wideout Brian Thomas supported Jaden Daniels at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Sunday, rooting for the Commanders QB's first playoff victory.

Nabors, Thomas and Daniels were teammates at LSU before all three were selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, and each set records in their rookie seasons.

Nabors and Thomas, whose team missed the playoffs, celebrated Washington's 23-20 last-minute win over the Buccaneers from the stands at the NFC Wild Card Game.

Daniels completed 24 of 35 for 268 passing yards and two touchdowns in his playoff debut. He added 36 rushing yards and two first downs.

After Daniels drove his team down the field and kicker Zane Gonzalez completed a 37-yard field goal to defeat the Bucs, Nabors filmed his reaction on an Instagram Live video.

“Give me five!” said Nabers, who had a diamond grill in his mouth and wore dark sunglasses.

After the game, Daniels posted a photo of his former college teammates together, adding an infinity emoji and a blue heart emoji.

Nabers reshared it and wrote, “Big Den Football.”

The former Tigers had a great performance from Daniels on the final two drives of the command, giving them the lead.

He accounted for 61 of the team's final 74 yards and completed all six pass attempts for 57 yards and one touchdown.

It was the coach's first playoff victory since the 2005-06 season.

“It means a lot,” Daniels told reporters. “I see all the fans here, hey, they're waiting for us. They've been waiting for this moment and this feeling for a long time, so I'm really happy for them.”

The Commanders (13-5) will play the top-seeded Detroit Lions (15-2) in the regional round on Saturday.
