That would have been an incredible dunk…if it had hit.
Grizzlies star Ja Morant took to the air for a slam dunk over Spurs big man Victor Wembaneyama late in the fourth quarter Wednesday night, but the impressive interference occurred long after the whistle blew. Ta.
Morant's slam was the talk of the game, as the Grizzlies still beat the Spurs 129-115, but could have easily contended for dunk of the year.
The whistle obviously sounded when Morant drew a foul while driving.
But he didn't stop, hitting a one-handed slam past the 7-foot-3 Wenby.
According to the Daily Memphian,Morant didn't know the whistle had been blown.
“I dunked on a lot of guys, brother, he didn't get passes. If you're at the rim, I'll try you in that situation,” Morant said.
The Grizzlies star finished the night with 21 points and 12 assists as Memphis won its ninth straight game against the Spurs to improve to 25-16.

In the end, Wenbanyama recorded 13 points and 12 rebounds for San Antonio.
Although this dunk did not appear on the scoreboard, it is definitely a memorable dunk for basketball fans.
