With two more wins, either the Philadelphia Eagles or Los Angeles Rams can earn a ticket to the 2025 Super Bowl.
But to get there, one of these two NFC heavyweights will have to compete in a heated (but likely snowy) matchup at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, January 19th. ) must come out on top in the divisional round matches.
Nick Sirianni's Birds had won three straight heading into the contest, including a 22-10 win over the Green Bay Packers in wild-card weekend. Quarterback Jalen Hurts missed the final three games of the regular season with a concussion but returned and completed 25 of 32 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns.
“…I think ultimately we're all going to be able to play when we need it most and I think that's what's important,” Hurts said after Wednesday's practice.
In Arizona, Matthew Stafford's Rams defeated the Minnesota Vikings 27-9 to advance to the divisional round. The win was especially impressive considering many members of the team were reeling from the effects of the Los Angeles wildfires.

About the Eagles vs. Rams matchup
Most recently, the Eagles and Rams met in Week 12 of the regular season on Nov. 24 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles held a 7-3 lead at the end of the first quarter, but Philadelphia dominated the rest of the way, winning 37-20. Hurts went 15-22 with 179 yards and 1 TD. Stafford threw two touchdowns and completed 24 of 36 passes for 243 yards.
Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley added 255 yards and two touchdowns.
Off the field, the Birds made quite a noise with their wild-card win. Not only did wideout AJ Brown make headlines for reading “Inner Excellence” on the sideline, a fan also made headlines for his despicable behavior toward visiting Packer supporters. He insists his actions were “not without provocation”.
As for the Rams, the fact that they've remained competitive after the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles is nothing short of miraculous. To add insult to injury, quarterback Matthew Stafford's children spent the night in the hospital ahead of the team's wild-card game.
The children's mother said: “I promise we are happy, right now.'' The message was accompanied by a disgusting emoji, suggesting that the children were not yet at 100%.
