As the saying goes, “Big players make big plays in big games.”
Betting on these prominent names and perhaps underutilized weapons is a shortcut to profiting in the betting markets.
There has probably never been a more exhilarating week in the NFL.
The regional round of the playoffs features eight teams and four games leading up to Saturday and Sunday of the playoffs.
This is not to be missed.
Saturday Division Round Player Props
Texans vs. Chiefs
CJ Stroud, 13.5 rushing yards (-109, Bet Rivers) | Most rushing yards in a game (41/1, FanDuel) |
The Texans offense has played badly for most of the season, forcing CJ Stroud to run the ball.
Houston's offensive line will be under siege as defensive tackle Chris Jones looks to dominate this game.
Stroud has no trouble running away, gaining 42 yards on six attempts last weekend.
Look for more performance from the Texans' star quarterback in a game where the Texans are expected to have a legitimate chance to win.
Patrick Mahomes Rushing Touchdown Anytime (+550, FanDuel)
The last time these teams met, Mahomes had five rushes for 33 yards and a touchdown.
However, I don't like his total rushing yards of 23.5.
Mahomes has surpassed that only once in his last five games and three times in his last seven postseason games.
Between Kareem Hunt and Isaiah Pacheco's poor play, Mahomes will definitely have a chance to get one on the goal line.
Texans. Although he faced only two run-first quarterbacks all season, he allowed opposing quarterbacks the highest average yards per carry in the NFL.
Commanders vs. Lions
Jameson Williams, 1.5 rushing yards over (-125, Fanatics)
Jameson Williams makes a lot of jet-sweep carries out of the backfield.
In a game where the Commanders' run defense is one of the worst in the NFL (26th YPC allowed), the Lions are in a great position to get creative with their rushing attack.
Williams has covered that number once in the past three games, but there's one particularly interesting stat that hints at his limitations here.
The Commanders have one of the worst defenses in the league when it comes to movement on run plays.
They have the seventh-worst EPA (expected points allowed) on jet sweep motion plays, allowing 4.7 yards per carry on these plays.

Zach Ertz scores a touchdown (+295, Caesars)
Command tight end Zach Ertz is the veteran presence needed on a very young team.
Washington has two things to do in the shootout scheduled for Saturday night: rely on the run game and rely on veterans.
Ertz has caught six touchdowns in his last seven games, catching the most targeted receivers in the red zone during that time.
Ertz will be heavily involved Saturday.

Brian Robinson Jr. Over 34.5 Rushing Yards (-110, BetMGM) | 70+ (+700, Bet 365)
Washington has implemented a committee in recent weeks, and Brian Robinson Jr. has been powerless since Week 18.
Barring an injury that has not been disclosed here, Robinson should maintain his spot at the top of Washington's backfield.
Robinson has had double-digit carries in 12 of 15 games this season, and Detroit's defense ranks 21st in yards per carry allowed this season (4.5).
Washington should run frequently on Saturday, and I suspect Robinson will do most of the work, as he has done all season.
