DePaul won against a Big East opponent for the first time in 730 days.
On Friday, the Blue Demons defeated Georgetown 73-68, ending a 39-game regular season losing streak in the Big East.
Before the win over Georgetown, DePaul's last Big East win was on Jan. 18, 2023, when they defeated No. 8 Xavier.

DePaul's win over Georgetown was not only its Big East victory, but also its first road win since Dec. 3, 2022.
DePaul had three players score in double figures, with guard CJ Gunn leading the way with 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting and five rebounds.
DePaul led 39-28 at halftime, with Rayden Blocker scoring all 14 of DePaul's first half points, including DePaul's final six points of the second half.
Malik Mack and Drew Fielder led the scoring in Georgetown's loss.

Mack had 19 points, six assists, and two steals, and Fielder also had 19 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks.
For Georgetown, Caleb Williams had 10 points and six rebounds, and Curtis Williams Jr. also had 10 points.
DePaul's victory ended the losing streak at five.
DePaul's losing streak in the Big Ten Conference is tied for the fourth-longest losing streak in conference play in the AP polling era, according to the Associated Press. ESPN investigation.

The longest losing streak in conference history was Colgate's 47-game losing streak from 1984 to 1987.
With the win, DePaul improves to 10-9 (1-7 in Big East play) and will look to continue its winning ways when it faces Creighton on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET.
With the loss, the Hoyas fall to 12-6 (3-4 in Big East play), but will look to turn things around when they host Villanova on Monday at 6 p.m. ET.
