Jack McDonald, senior vice president of stablecoins at Ripple, made a bold prediction for the stablecoin market, declaring 2025 the “year of stablecoins.”

McDonald said the stablecoin market would benefit from clearer guidelines and standards as U.S. regulation progresses. It is hoped that this regulatory clarity will increase confidence and pave the way for wider adoption.

The Ripple senior vice president expressed optimism that Ripple and its stablecoin RLUSD are well-positioned to spearhead this new era.
