How to deal with robocalls on a flip phone
Dealing with robocalls on a flip phone can be difficult, but you can minimize them by taking a few steps. It's not as easy as blocking a spammer on your smartphone, as it requires several calls. But if you plan on making a few calls or doing some extra work, you can happily live without spam calls on your flip phone. Here are the steps you can take:
1. Don't answer numbers you don't know. If you don't recognize the number, please leave it to voicemail. Legitimate callers leave messages.
2. Be careful with numbers: Be careful where you share your phone number to reduce the chance of it being added to robocall lists.
3. Add to the Do Not Call list. Please register your phone number in National phone ban registry. This reduces the number of legitimate telemarketing calls. You can register your phone number with the National Do Not Call Registry by visiting donotcall.gov online or by calling 1-888-382-1222 from the phone you want to register with the Do Not Call Registry.

4. Contact your carrier. Many carriers offer call blocking services. Contact your carrier (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.) and ask if they offer robocall blocking for flip phones. Many carriers support this, but it depends on the brand of flip phone you have and your carrier.
5. Manual call block: If your flip phone has the option, you can manually block certain numbers. Check your phone's user manual for instructions on how to do this. This feature is common to all smartphones, but many newer flip phones also allow you to manually block callers. However, as mentioned above, you should check the instruction manual.

6. Report the robocall to the FTC. Report unsolicited calls to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). This helps authorities track robocalls and take action. This method won't block robocalls from calling your flip phone, but it will help the FTC spot robocalls and stop them from making calls. This is a good way to help the FTC fight back against robospammers. To report a robocall to the FTC, you must:
- go online at ReportFraud.ftc.gov Or call us at 1-877-382-4357.
- When filling out your report, you will need the robocaller's number and the date and time of the call.

7. Consider using a data deletion service. Unfortunately, your phone number is likely to be readily available in many listings sold by data brokers to hundreds of search websites. However, by removing it from the web, spammers and telemarketers are less likely to get your number and contact you.
No service promises to remove all data from the Internet, but if you want to constantly monitor and automate the process of removing information from hundreds of sites over an extended period of time, a removal service is a good option. is the best.
