The inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump will be one of the most transformative moments in our nation's history. Neither the mainstream media nor the political establishment, not even an assassin's bullet, could stop Donald J. Trump. On Inauguration Day, I will be representing the great state of Arkansas in Washington, D.C., to cheer on Trump as he places his hand on the Bible, takes the oath of office, and becomes our nation's 47th president.
For Republican governors across the country, this moment couldn't come soon enough.
The past four years of the Biden-Harris presidency have been disastrous for our country. If that administration failed, the governor had to step up on the economy, borders, and security. We are ready to bring our partners and warriors back to the White House.
Biden DHS exempts thousands of immigrants from terrorism-related entry restrictions in 2024
Shortly after I took office in 2023, Mr. Biden's border crisis reached its peak, with thousands of illegal immigrants entering our country every day. Arkansas has joined other Republican-led states in sending the National Guard to its southern border to support our friends in Texas. I traveled there that summer to thank the Guard and see the Biden border crisis firsthand.

What I saw and heard was heartbreaking. National Guard troops are sweating in 100+ degree temperatures, enough fentanyl is flowing across the border to stop every American's heart multiple times, and immigrants allegedly being supported by President Joe Biden They often die of exhaustion in the desert.
We will soon have a president who takes border security seriously. Republican governors are ready to align with the president-elect to rid their states of violent illegal immigrants and keep our country safe.
Biden's failures also extend to the economy. Under his reckless tax and spending policies, prices rose more than 20% nationwide. Inflation has crippled American families with everyday necessities like eggs, milk, rent, and gasoline.
As governor, I have traveled to communities across the state and met people who simply cannot afford such price increases. Whether it's the mother who has to skip her own dinner so her children don't go hungry or the restaurant owner who has to feed them. Employees are traveling because of rising food costs, and families are unable to take vacations this summer because gas prices are too high.
My administration has cut taxes three times to provide relief to these families, and I am working responsibly to completely phase out the personal income tax in Arkansas. But for families in need today, Trump could help. He promised tax cuts for hard-working middle-class families and, more importantly, cut wasteful spending that caused inflation in the first place.
What I'm most looking forward to about the new Trump administration is that the American people will finally have a leader in the White House again. Mr. Biden has taken a hostile stance toward state leaders who dare to oppose his administration.

He tried to rewrite Title IX to allow men to receive women's scholarships and force men into women's locker rooms. The state of Arkansas sued the administration and won, but there should be no need to fight the federal government over such common sense issues.
Biden's EPA was notorious for its regulatory overreach. His bureaucrats, manning computer screens in Washington, tried to regulate and eliminate Arkansas factories and businesses based on shoddy predictions and distorted research. Arkansas again sued the federal government. It would be great to have a president who actually understands how businesses are run making decisions about the state's largest employer.

On education, health care, and other major federal spending priorities, the Biden administration was far more interested in enforcing partisan politics than seeking aid for Americans in need. President Trump will refocus the federal government on the people.

Around this time eight years ago, my husband, Brian, and I were frantically packing up our home in Little Rock to move our family, including three young children, to Washington to begin work in the first Trump administration. . Today, I'm preparing to go to Washington again, but as a sitting governor.
Times have changed, but my loyalty to President Trump remains the same. I can assure you that this president has never been more ready to make America great again, and that our Republican governors will be by his side every step of the way.
