Wildfires break out in San Diego County with evacuations underway, buildings threatened

Three wildfires broke out overnight and early Tuesday in northern San Diego County, California.

This came amid renewed winds in Santa Ana, where an emergency fire weather warning was issued Monday.

The Lilac Fire broke out in the Bonsall-Escondido area of ​​northern San Diego County, and local officials ordered evacuations for residents south of Pala Mesa and west of Interstate 15.

The fire broke out just before 1:30 a.m. local time. Officials said the building was under threat from the flames.

According to CAL FIRE, the Lilac Fire is 30 acres in size and has a moderate rate of spread.

A few miles north, the Para Fire broke out an hour after the Lilac Fire. It's burning west of Interstate 15 in Pala Mesa.

Evacuation orders have also been issued and buildings are threatened.

Para Fire also has about 30 acres.

CAL FIRE reports that neither fire is contained.

A third fire broke out in Fallbrook and was designated as the Riverview Fire.
