There appears to be no limit to how much the Dodgers can spend on their roster.
Days after adding top left-handed reliever Tanner Scott, the reigning World Series champions are close to signing All-Star right-hander Kirby Yates, the Post's Jon Heyman confirmed.
Yates pitched 61 2/3 innings for the Rangers last year, posting a 1.17 ERA, 85 strikeouts, and 33 saves.
The 37-year-old also posted a career-best 3.3 wins differential (WAR), according to Baseball Reference.
The Dodgers had already added a ton of players to their winning team and established themselves as the villain of the super team. Part of this is convincing players to agree to deferrals, a trend popularized last year by Shohei Ohtani in a $700 million contract that included: The postponement amount is $680 million.
Scott signed a four-year, $72 million contract on Sunday that reportedly includes $21 million in deferral payments, and is one of the players who agreed to those terms. The 30-year-old southpaw played for the Marlins and Padres last season, pitching 72 innings with a 1.75 ERA and 84 strikeouts.

Los Angeles' stacked bullpen also includes veteran right-hander Blake Treinen, who re-signed to a two-year, $22 million contract earlier this offseason.
The rest of the Dodgers' ridiculous offseason spending includes:
- LHP Blake Snell signed a five-year contract worth $182 million.
- RHP Loki Sasaki, a 23-year-old Japanese phenom, had to sign a minor league contract with a $6.5 million bonus.
- Re-signed OF Teoscar Hernandez to a three-year, $66 million contract.
- Re-signed INF/OF forward Tommy Edman to a five-year, $74 million contract.
- Former Met OF Michael Conforto signed a one-year, $17 million contract.
- INF Hyesung Kim is a 25-year-old from South Korea who signed a three-year, $12.5 million contract.
Their ledger also includes Mookie Betts' $365 million contract, Yoshinobu Yamamoto's $325 million contract and Freddie Freeman's $162 million contract.
