Democrats name their DOGE Subcommittee members

House Democrats nominated members to serve on the DOGE subcommittee, a sign that they are willing to work with the new administration across the aisle.

Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury (D.N.M.) announced the news He said he would lead Democrats on a new subcommittee on the House Oversight and Accountability Committee aimed at working with Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency.

“It's official. I will serve as the ranking member of @OversightDems' new DOGE subcommittee,” she wrote.

Stansberry, a former White House Office of Management and Budget official, said he knows what government efficiency looks like.

“And I will use every tool I have to work across the aisle to fight policies that are harmful to the American people,” Stansbury said.

According to Politicoother Democrats joining Stansberry include Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton of Washington, D.C., Reps. Stephen Lynch (Massachusetts) and Robert Garcia (California), and Reps. Greg Casar and Jasmine Cassar of Texas. This includes Congressman Crockett.

According to the report, Representative Gerry Connolly (D-Virginia), a ranking member of the Oversight Committee, will also be allowed to appear before the subcommittee.

Shortly after the election, it was announced that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) would become the subcommittee chair.
