Americans are no longer afraid of climate change — and CNN is BAFFLED

To no one's surprise, CNN is perplexed by Americans' inability to connect California's devastating fires to climate change, pointing to widespread apathy on the issue.

“I don't think Americans connect things like this,” one CNN host said, before showing that Google searches for “wildfires.” To do this, look at the monthly changes in Google searches.” Searches for “climate change” are up 2,400%, while searches for “climate change” are down 9%.

“That's kind of you. This is the highest number of people searching for wildfires ever since Google Trends started in 2004,” the host continued. “We looked at California as well, and we haven't seen an increase in searches related to climate change.”

“The bottom line is this: Americans definitely want to know about these wildfires and are interested in following the news about wildfires, but they're not trying to link that to climate change. “That's the main thing,'' he added.

“They're smarter than that,” laughs Pat Gray from “Pat Gray Unleashed.”

And it seems Gray is right. A recent Gallup poll found that only 39% of Americans expressed serious concern about climate change in 2023, while the Pew Research Center found that only 39% of Americans believe humans will play a major role in the problem. revealed that only 45%.

“We've seen the same amount of disasters and natural events. There's no upward trend at all. These things have always happened. They'll always keep happening,” Gray says.

“This is not climate change. Thank you for being smart enough to understand that. Most, if not all, Americans are smart enough to understand that,” he added.
