The congressman grilled Democratic Party members for attending an X event earlier this week. These events are not serious. ”
She said, “You know the performer at least knows they're there, but after four years of running his mouth, he's now willing to be there and clap for him. You and your criticisms.” / Anger should be rightly directed at them.”
When Collins asked about the statement Thursday night, Omar asked why prominent members of the party, including Biden, Vice President Harris, and President Barack Obama, were Trump's inauguration guests at Biden's swearing-in. I wondered if it was. Nor will the new first family be invited to the White House during a presidential transition, as was customary several years ago.
“You have to remember that Trump himself did not attend Biden's inauguration. I didn't have the decency to invite you to the House.'' said the senator.
Collins then asked if Biden should stay away from the swearing-in ceremony altogether. Omar did not say, instead claiming that his attendees showed his patriotism.
“President Biden has always been a real American and a patriot. And the fact that he didn't have a peaceful transition is challenging for him and the American people how to do it.” I think I wanted to remind you.”

“And I think there are some exceptions for people who may have been there for such purposes. I think that sends the wrong message.”
When Collins asked what that message was, the congressman replied, “The message is that this person we told you is going to destroy our democracy, and that we currently hold dear.” I'm going to sit here and congratulate him and pat him on the back and clap for him – that's not a good message.”
