The Senate on Saturday proceeded with Scott Bessent, voted to become the next secretary of the Ministry of Finance, and arranged him on Monday.
The Senator voted for 67-23 and taught the final passage of Bessent's nomination. The final voting will be held at 5:30 pm on Monday evening
Bessent had previously advanced from the Senate Finance Committee with 16-11 votes. Mark Warner (D-VA) and Maggie Hassan (DN.H.) were the only Democrats who crossed the party's border by committee.
If Bessent is confirmed, he will be the first public and homosexual cabinet officials of the Republican government.
The millionaire's hedge fund manager and investors will extend the tax cuts enacted during the first term of Trump in pushes by President Trump and the Senate Republicans, and play an important role in implementing tariffs. Is widely expected.
He will also seem to work to increase the limit of debt and to provide funds to the government coming in the next few weeks and months.
Bessent's Cloture voted was held during an unusual weekend session, and immediately the Senator confirmed that Kristi NOEM would lead the Ministry of Land Security with the support of a supervisor.
Following Bessent's expected confirmation on Monday, the Senate checks the former member of the Diet, Sean Duffy (R-Wis.)
