Trump to ink new executive orders today banning trans service members, military DEI programs

WASHINGTON – President Trump is expected to sign two executive orders on Monday banning transgender service members and eliminating diversity, equity and inclusion programs from the military, The Post has learned .

Trump had signed an order in his inauguration revoking the Biden administration's 2021 directive that allowed trans people to serve openly in the military, but the upcoming EOS goes further.

They set military standards for pronouns and gender identity and directly ban thousands of transgender service members from the military, citing mental and physical readiness issues.

“Unit cohesion requires a high level of integrity and stability among service members,” says a White House document previewing the transgender soldier order.

“No accommodation is less than resilient, strong, and capable of withstanding extraordinary physical demands.”

“Individuals who cannot meet these requirements will not be able to serve in the military. This has been the case for decades,” the document states.

“It can take a minimum of 12 months for an individual to complete treatment after transition surgery, which often includes heavy drug use. During this period, they are physically required to meet military readiness requirements. cannot be met and requires ongoing medical care. This is not conducive to deployment or other readiness requirements.”

Although there are no current accounts of the number of transgender service members currently on active duty or reserve Estimates for 2014 It suggests that there are as many as 15,500.

Trump announced in a tweet during his first White House term in 2017 that the United States would not “accept or allow” transgender people to serve in the military. His administration then pursued a ban in 2018, which was ended by a 2021 Biden executive order.

Trump's latest EO regarding transgender people in the military directs Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. Bans biological males and females of the opposite sex from using sleeping, altering, and bathing facilities, and “updates all Department of Defense medical standards to prioritize readiness and lethality.”

The document also criticizes former President Joe Biden's embrace of “gender insanity,” allowing soldiers to be “not physically or mentally prepared,” and paying for gender-altering medical treatments. I am criticizing the fact that

The second EO document addressing DEI in the military directs the prohibition of “discriminatory race- or sex-based preferences by any element of the military, the Department of Defense, or the Department of Homeland Security.”

All instances of “discrimination” based on DEI practices are subject to internal review by Hegus, the document reads.

Current DEI practices are a “woke assault” on the military brought about by the Biden and Obama administrations, leading to the lowest morale and recruitment numbers since 1940, the document alleges.

The order bans all bureaucracies dedicated to Armed Forces Day and directs Heggs and DHS Secretary Krista Noem to review all academic curricula at U.S. service academies to “radicalize the day and gender.” We instruct them to wash away the ideology.

“Today's Order moves the military out of this dark era and renews Esprit de Corps, readiness, and focus. Returns the Pentagon to the fighter,” the document on the Dei Order states.

“This order combats ideologies that seek to divide our military by race, gender, or other immutable characteristics, thereby tearing us apart from unity and military effectiveness.”

Hegseth, who is tasked with carrying out Trump's orders at Dodd, passed the Senate nomination on a 51-50 vote on Friday, with Vice President J.D. Vance casting the tie-breaking vote and a tight party-line margin. I broke through.

His message to forces published on Saturday vows to reorient to key threats while deterring Chinese aggression and ending wars around the world “responsibly.”

“All of this will be done with a focus on lethality, meritocracy, accountability, standards, and preparedness,” Hegseth wrote in his statement, echoing similar rhetoric used by the White House.

Trump has already used the U.S. military to help carry out mass illegal immigrant deportations and secure the southern border. In his inaugural speech, he vowed that his highest responsibility as commander in chief would be to “defend our nation from threats and aggression.”

The 2024 GOP platform promised to ensure the U.S. military is the “most powerful” in the world. Here are other policy points that are currently being implemented in these upcoming executive orders.

“Republicans ensure our military is the most modern, lethal, and powerful force in the world,” the platform read.

“We will invest in cutting-edge research and advanced technology, like the Iron Dome missile defense shield, support our military with higher wages, and fire left-wing Democrats as quickly as possible.”
