Shooting inside Indiana supermarket leaves 3 dead, 2 officers injured

According to authorities, the shooter fired at a supermarket in Erkhart, Indiana on Monday has died after killing two and injuring two police officers.

The Elkhart Police Station told Fox News Digital that at around 5:30 pm at around 5:30 pm to report a gunfire, the executives responded to the Martin supermarket in E. Jackson Burvard.

When a police officer and a crew of emergency medical services arrived, two people were found in a supermarket suffering from gunshots. Police said that the two victims had died on site.

Two police officers were gunshot during the encounter, were transported to a local hospital, and were listed in stable state.

“It's a sad day of Elkhart,” said Jessica McBria, a spokeswoman for the Elkhart Police Station. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the affected people.”
