New York may always be at Dan's house in New Hide Park, but the time with the NJ/NY NWSL team is over.
It was a “mutual agreement” split, and Gothham FC stated in the news release on Tuesday afternoon.
“Crystal is a skilled player who has achieved many in her career,” said Gotam General Manager Yael AverBuch West. “We hope she will be the best in the next chapter of her career. I am grateful for her contribution to our club.”
Dan, a female national team player in the United States and three Olympians, signed a contract with Gotham FC in December 2023.
She appeared in 23 games (13 starts) and registered one goal and two assists. She was labeled as “permitted absent” and missed the last part of the NWSL season.
The following chapter remains unknown.
