St. John’s playing like vintage powerhouse Rick Pitino team

It is impossible for Rick Pitino to disagree with the 54 -game period with St. Jongs. Johnny was playing last year when the NCAA tournament decided to treat Big East like a mid -scale. The three games they lost this year were based on five skinny points.

They returned their basketball life to Utopia Parkway and regained energy to the Carnecca Arena and Madison Square Garden. As Pitino himself says, “This is a team that Lou Carnecca is very proud,” he said, in fact, Joe Rappic and Frank McGaia are enjoying this season from the Celestial Courtide seat. You can add it to the list of St. John's coach.

However, it was another thing I saw at the Capital One Arena in Washington on Tuesday night. In the first 20 minutes, Johnny settled on the 23-3 and 41-11 lead on the way, and settled on the final review of 66-41. The important thing was something else:

For the first time, this looked like a vintage pitino team. They were desperate and fierce. They ran the ball when they had numbers and compressed them when they did not. They made six three! (They missed 15, but they continued to shoot, one of the golden Pitino rules).
