Swing-state Dem senator announces he will not run for re-election

Michigan's Senator Gary Peters announced on Tuesday that it will not be re -elected in 2026.

Peters was first elected to serve in the lower house in 2008 and was finally selected as a Senate in 2014. After two terms in the Senate, Peter said, “I want to return to my private life.”
