DeWanna Bonner solidifies Indiana Fever as WNBA championship contenders

Dawanna Bonner is heading to Indiana, ESPN with Alexa Phillippou。 Six All -Stars, who recently played with Connecticutsan, agreed to the one -year contract with Sunday fever. So, the fever is officially included in the mix. WNBA title.

Last season, the average 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists on the sun are widely hoped that the organization will sign in other places by the organization last season after seeing everything elsewhere. Ta. Many have assumed that Bonor has chased her fiance, WNBA All Star Alyssser Thomas, to Phoenix Mercury and via sign and trade earlier this week. Instead, she is working with Stephanie White, a former sun head coach. Stephanie White switched from Connecticut to Indiana during this off -season.

Bonor flourished in White's attack -36 and 37 years old spent two best seasons of her career. She was one of the main defenders leveraging leverage to delay Kate Lin Clark during the playoffs. Currently, two security guards (one is 23 years old, another 37) share bystanders.

Signing Bonor will interrupt the off -season that has been greatly successful for the Indian Fever.

Last year, the fever reached 20-20, and was wiped out by the bonor's sun in the first round of the playoffs. Despite the early exit of the posts season, the Indiana season was a great success. The newcomer, Kate Lin Clark, exceeded all expectations, and Kelsea Mitchell won the best season in her career, and Fever has played off for the first time since 2016.

The future seemed to have been gained since the WNBA season was over. The first big movement of Fever was to hire Stephanie White and lead franchise. This is one of the most popular coaches in the market where one year remained in the contract with Connecticut Sun. They also announced that they would build the latest latest state -of -the -art practice facilities for thermal players.

And they have overwhelmed the WNBA Free Agency and nailed. I signed again from the best season of Kelsea Mitchell's career, added Natasha Howard, traded with Sophie Kaningham, and now added bonors. Mitchell was an important priority in the front office, and it was the first domino this week to return her to a supermax contract. The last play in Dallas Wings functions as a veteran forward with a rim runner, a powerful defender, and a championship experience. She returns to an organization that started his career in 2014.

Kaningham was superior to the borderline during the family in Phoenix.

And the bonor ties it all. In the heat, she has a smaller aggressive role than what she had in Connecticut. And she is a versatile defender and a self -creator who can relieve the roads that Clark and Mitchell must carry. Bonor has two championships under her belt -both won in mercury -6'4, often disagreement for opposition guards.

Fever goes as long as Kaitin Clark takes them. Clark was nominated for the first team ALL-WNBA in her rookie season after an average of 19.2 points and the best 8.4 assisted league. She will only make another leap next season. But now, Clark has the necessary support cast to take Indiana all the time. Last year's best player, bonor's talented and aggressive player, veteran guards, rim running forwards, and 3 & D guards of Lexy Hull and Sophie Kaningham.

They are perfect for a WNBA championship, but faster than everyone expected.
