McConnell: Yes. Well, my staff at the Council was facing furniture to the door.
Star: To prevent them from coming-
McConnell: To get the mob from going out, break the door and reach them. And what was it? We try to prevent the government's order to relocate, which has never happened in our country.
STAHL: Your staff, after the crisis, you talked to them. You -it was a very emotional situation. do you remember?
McConnell: Oh, I remember well.
Stal: Do you remember what you told them?
McConnell: Yeah, I remember what I told them.

McConnell: That's how I still feel it.
Stal: Are your views on President Trump and his supporters trying to change what happened on January 6? They call it the “day of love.” They called mobs “MAR teachers.”
McConnell: Yes. No, that was a rebellion.
Stal: How about the pardon of the people who attacked the Japan Council?
McConnell: I think it's a mistake to forgive those who have been convicted.
