Guatemala agrees to accept deportees from other countries, in deal with Rubio

Guatemala's President Bernardo Alevaro has confirmed that his country will not accept immigrants from the United States from the United States under the government of President Donald Trump.

Alebaro announced on Wednesday by Secretary of State Marco Rubio while visiting. The new agreement declares that Guatemala is a “safe third country” for expulsion of abroad, and the United States paid for immigrants to ultimately return to their home country.

“We agree to increase the number of expulsions of both nationality and exiles from other nationality by 40 %,” Alebaro said at a press conference with Rubio.

The contract is not vast than Rubio, who reached El Slavador President Nive Bukele on Tuesday, but not so vast. Bukel said that his country would accept any foreign expulsions, including American citizens and legal residents who were imprisoned for violent crimes.

Rubio said Salvador said, “I agree with the unprecedented, extraordinary, extraordinary agreements in the world.”

“We can send them, and he will put them in his prison,” Rubio told the reporters and mentioned illegal immigrants behind the US prison bar. “And he is also a dangerous criminal who is currently detained and the dangerous criminal in the United States, despite being a US citizen or a legal resident. I am offered to do that.

Bukel has extended his offer to include violent American criminals, but it is very unlikely that some of the offer will actually occur because it is illegal to expel US citizens. US officials pointed out that the Trump administration has no plans to expel American citizens, but Bukele's offer is important.

The proposal with El Salvador, known as a “safe third country” agreement, could be potentially optional for Venezuela gang members who have been convicted in the United States if Venezuela refuses to accept them. Rubio said that Bukele had offered to accept all of the nationality.
