‘Top Gun: Maverick’ star saved late grandfather’s watch before home burned down in Palisades Fire

“Top Gun: Maverick” star Miles Terror details the moments leading up to the evacuation of his family during the Palisade fire.

When appearing in “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” the actor explained that he lived with him after his grandfather passed away before his home in Parisades in the Pacific was burned down.

“So my wife and I woke up and we were at some elevation where we lived in Pallisard. So, as soon as we opened the curtains on the balcony of the master bedroom, I was, at 12 o'clock. We saw that the fire was very small.

When Teller first discovered the flame, he explained that the fire was about three miles away from his home.

“And Kelly said, “If that fire starts at 12-3 o'clock, we're really in trouble, so we have to move.” At the time, I was looking after my grandma. I did. Because my grandfather, who was very close, had just passed away a few weeks ago.

“From the time we wake up and see them evacuate, they say it, like 90 minutes to two hours.

“So I was like, 'Hey, um.' That's what we call her. And we didn't think it would come where we were.

Terror explained that his home is not surrounded by “brushes”, family homes and family business.

“Fires are scary. I grew up on the East Coast and the Hurricane. It's a lot of time in Florida. Usually they scare you for a week or so. You have a lot of heads ups. It's We woke up and moved quickly as we evacuated.

“At that point, people were already grabbing the kids and running down the street. It was pure…it was pretty confusing. Absolutely.”

Terror flashed the clock during the talk show and explained that during evacuation he grabbed his grandfather's watch.

“One of the items I took was my grandfather's watch. I don't know what kind of camera it was,” Teller said, pointing to his grandfather's watch on his wrist.

At La Fireaid's benefits concert on Thursday, Terror broke his silence after him and his wife, Kelly Terror. Lost his home during the Palisade fire.

“First of all, I just want to scream. I know there are a lot of first responders here tonight, I know I see a lot at home, so I'm going to keep us safe. Thank you for giving me. Thank you.

“My wife and I, like many of us in Pallisad in the Pacific, have lost our homes in the fire and my heart breaks for all those affected around town.

Last month, Kelly took her to Instagram and posted photos of her home before and after. In the caption, she and the actor regretted leaving their wedding dresses when flames were evacuated before they consumed their property.

Terror shared his inspiring personal stories about how his neighbors joined the stage and how he influenced him and his family.

The musicians gathered in Los Angeles for the Fireaid Benefit concert at the Intuit Dome and Kia Forum. The goal of profit was to rebuild the community that was destroyed by the fire that burned Los Angeles in January.
